 Kyouko Hori and Izumi Miyamura are two high school students with drastically different personas than they project to the outside world. Hori is a popular student because of his intelligence and athletic prowess, while Miyamura is a loner who prefers to keep to himself and who is covered in tattoos and piercings. They have more in common than they originally imagined when they meet by chance and quickly get close.

The strength of friendship and love are celebrated in Horimiya, an endearing and lovely anime. The plot is entertaining and the characters are likeable enough to make you laugh out loud. The scholastic difficulties and social stresses of high school life are both accurately portrayed in the anime.

The anime is very colorful with usage of good drawings and colorful palette which makes it very enjoyable to watch the anime.
